This client video tells the story of David, a musician whose battle with addiction takes him down a path where he is living a double life for decades until he finds Quest Center for Integrative Health in Portland, Oregon.
Quest came to me…
…to produce a story about their FSR (Finding and Sustaining Recovery) program, an integrated behavioral health treatment program designed to help people build sober and healthy lifestyles. I knew David was a musician, so I decided to use the imagery of piano playing and music conducting to convey how it felt for him to spiral out of control while struggling with drug and sex addiction. I also played with removing the lens off the camera body to capture beautiful yet distorted shots. Quest was excited to see a new take on a non-profit video, and I loved that they embraced this experimental approach.
